If you are working or studying, then you probably did not have the opportunity to spend as much time with your cat or dog as you would like. If you are sitting at home, you probably already realized that doing business when a furry friend is nearby and requires attention is not at all easy. Here are four rules to help you live comfortably.

Food should be on schedule

Most animals are still beggars - and if you went to the kitchen to get crackers, they will probably come to ask for food for themselves, since you are at home. You should not follow the lead: if the cat has not abandoned the standard calls at four in the morning, then you should not change the feeding schedule. At least, if you don't want to deal with feline or canine obesity later.

Get a pet while you work

Animals usually do not care that you have a job and study: they see you at home, which means you should pay attention to them. There are several options for what to do in this case:

• Give some goodies. Of course, you shouldn't do this often, but if you are about to have a meeting at Zoom, and the cat insistently demands love, a little sweets can help.
• Equip your cat or dog with a "workplace". If your pet is one of those who like to crawl under the arm and lie on the keyboard, make him a temporary house next to you: put your favorite couch or box, put toys there and go about your business calmly. This can be done either at the other end of the table, if you have a large one, or on a nearby chair or windowsill.
• Buy mechanical toys. If you have the opportunity to buy robot toy for animals, it will be really cool, but regular clockwork mice from a pet store will do. The main thing is to make sure that it is assembled of sufficient quality, and the pet will not be able to bite through the toy and swallow the batteries.

Walk your dogs when there are no people outside

Late evening or early morning is a great time to dog walking. The street is as deserted as possible, and you can afford both yourself and the dog to spend a little more time outside the house. At the same time, remember that you should not let the dog off the leash - just like getting close to other dog owners. Don't forget to wash your dog's paws thoroughly when you get home - and don't forget to wash your hands too.

Don't ignore your cat or dog all day.

Perhaps you are a very busy person and have many issues to deal with throughout the day. But think about how the pet feels: the loved one is nearby, but does not pay attention at all. No matter how busy you are, you can surely take a break from business for a minute every couple of hours to scratch behind your pet's ear and say that he is a good boy or girl.
