Rice porridge with meatballs

Rice porridge with meatballs is a popular Thai dish often served for breakfast. To make it even tastier, you can add poached eggs, nuts and herbs.

Ingredients
- Rice 200 g
- Meat or vegetable broth 950 ml
- Fish sauce 2 tsp spoons
- Soy sauce 1¹⁄₂ tbsp spoons
- Ground white pepper to taste
- Ginger to taste
- Greens to taste
- Minced meat 250 g
- Garlic 2 cloves
- Soy sauce 1 tbsp the spoon
- Fish sauce 1 tsp the spoon
- Ground white pepper ¹⁄₄ tsp spoons
- Brown sugar 1¹⁄₂ tsp spoons

Boil the rice until tender and cool slightly. Add a little broth and blend for a few seconds, but do not smooth.
How to cook rice: basic rules and secrets
If using previously cooked rice, microwave it slightly first.
Place the chopped rice along with the remaining broth in a saucepan. Add fish and soy sauce, bring to a boil.

Cook over medium heat for 10 minutes. Stir occasionally to keep the rice from sticking to the bottom.
If you want the porridge to be thicker, cook for 10 minutes longer.

Combine minced meat with chopped garlic, sauces, pepper and sugar.
Any mince is suitable for this dish.
Take the minced meat with one teaspoon and put it in a pot of porridge with the second spoon.
Cook the porridge for about 7 more minutes. Serve with pepper, grated ginger and herbs.
