Pickled tomatoes with citric acid

There is no vinegar in this recipe. Even with a minimum of spices, pickled tomatoes with citric acid will be tasty, moderately sweet.

Ingredients
- Tomatoes 1 200 g
- Black peppercorns 4 pieces
- Allspice peas 4 pieces
- Cloves 4 buds
- Water 1,000 - 1,300 ml
- Salt 1 tbsp the spoon
- Sugar 5 tbsp spoons
- Citric acid ¹⁄₃ tsp spoons
Cooking method
Use a toothpick to prick in several places at the base of the tomato stalks. This is necessary so that they do not burst in boiling water.

Place the tomatoes in a sterilized jar. Add peppers and cloves.

Slowly pour boiling water over the vegetables all the way to the top. Cover with a lid.
After 15 minutes, pour the liquid into a saucepan. If the water is less than 1 liter, add the required amount.
Add salt, sugar and citric acid to a saucepan. Boil and simmer for 2 minutes. All crystals must dissolve.
Pour the marinade into the jar. Roll up, flip and wrap. Store cold after cooling.
