Nourishing hodgepodge for the winter with mushrooms is a universal dish. It can be used as a side dish, salad, snack, or base for a quick soup.

Ingredients
- Mushrooms 3 kg
- Salt to taste
- Onion 1 kg
- Vegetable oil 500 ml
- Carrots 1 kg
- White cabbage 3 kg
- Sugar 180 g
- Allspice 15 peas
- Bay leaves 10 pieces
- Acetic essence 3 tbsp. spoons
Cooking method
Wash the mushrooms, chop coarsely and boil in salted water for about 5-7 minutes after boiling. Throw in a colander and leave for a while to drain all the water.
Cut the onion into half rings and simmer in oil. Grate the carrots and also stew, but separately from the onions. Chop the cabbage, salt and remember.
Combine prepared vegetables and mushrooms in a large saucepan, add sugar, cooking oil left over after stewing, allspice and bay leaf.
Simmer the mixture for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally, then add the vinegar essence and cook for another 10 minutes.
Transfer the hodgepodge to sterilized jars, roll up, wrap, turn over and leave to cool completely.
