Stuffed squash with rice and meat - Lifehacker

Stuffed squash is a simple and hearty dish. The filling is especially appetizing thanks to the addition of fried vegetables.

Ingredients
- Rice 150 g
- Onion 1 piece
- Carrots 1 piece
- Vegetable oil 3 tbsp. spoons
- Minced meat 500 g
- Salt to taste
- Spices to taste
- Patissons 3-4 pieces
- Cheese 60-70 g
Cooking method
Boil rice until half cooked in about 10 minutes. Cool it down.
Cut the onion into small pieces. Grate the carrots on a coarse grater.
In a skillet, heat 2 tablespoons of oil over medium heat. Fry the onion for 4-5 minutes. Add carrots and cook for another 5-6 minutes. Cool it down.
Combine rice with minced meat and stir-fried vegetables. Season with salt and seasonings.
For squash, cut off the tops, and scrub the pulp with seeds with a spoon.
Dip the squash in boiling water for about a minute or two. Remove and leave for a few minutes to drain the liquid.
Stuff the squash with the prepared filling and cover with the "lids" cut from them.
Place the squash in a greased dish. Bake for about an hour or a little longer at 180 ° C.
5-10 minutes before cooking, remove the "lids" and sprinkle the pastissons with grated cheese.
