Ingredients
- Red canned beans 1 can
- Onion 1 piece
- Bread crumbs ½ cup
- Dried oregano 1 tsp the spoon
- Salt 1 pinch
- Water (if necessary) 1-2 tbsp. spoons
- Hamburger buns 2 pieces
- Ketchup to taste
- Sweet mustard to taste
- Salad to taste
- Hard cheese to taste
- Vegetables to taste
Cooking method
-
Use a potato grinder, blender, or fork to puree the canned beans.
In this recipe, you can safely replace red beans with white beans, boiled chickpeas or lentils.
Combine the bean base with the rest of the burger: chopped onions, bread crumbs (for a bunch), dried oregano, and a generous pinch of salt.
-
Knead the mixture with your hands until you feel that all the ingredients are perfectly mixed together.
-
Try to form a small cutlet from the resulting mass. If it does not hold its shape well and cracks easily, there is not enough moisture in it. Add 1-2 tablespoons of water, knead well again and repeat molding.
-
Pour vegetable oil into a skillet and place over medium heat. Fry the blanks on both sides until golden brown (no more than two minutes).
Such cutlets can easily be transported, so you can safely pack them with you for a picnic and reheat them over the fire directly in foil.
-
Spread the sauce over half of the burger bun, add the herbs, the cutlet (you can cover it with a layer of grated cheese before reheating), your favorite vegetables, and start your meal.
