Clafoutis with pear and nutmeg

The French dessert is reminiscent of a pie, casserole and egg mousse at the same time. This pear clafoutis looks more like fruit baked in a very tender dough.

Ingredients
- Butter 2 tbsp spoons
- Eggs 3 pieces
- Sugar 70 g + ¹⁄₂ tbsp. spoons
- Milk 300 ml
- Salt ¹⁄₄ tsp spoons
- Ground nutmeg 1 pinch
- Vanilla extract 1¹⁄₂ tsp spoons
- Flour 85 g
- Pears 3 pieces
- Almond extract ¹⁄₂ tsp spoons
- Almonds 1 handful
Cooking method
Lubricate a deep baking dish with a tablespoon of oil. A round one with a diameter of 25 cm is ideal.

Whisk the eggs, 70 g sugar, milk, salt, nutmeg, vanilla extract and flour. Add almond extract if desired. The dough will be runny.
Vanilla extract can be substituted with a pinch of vanillin.
Cut each pear in half and remove the cores. Lay them cut down and cut lengthwise into thin slices.
Leave a few wedges for decoration, and place the rest in the mold.
Pour the dough over the fruit. Sprinkle with chopped almonds if desired. Shake the shape slightly.
Arrange the pear pieces nicely on top. Melt the remaining butter and pour over it. Sprinkle with ½ tablespoon of sugar.
Place in an oven preheated to 180 ° C for about 45 minutes. Serve the clafoutis chilled.
