Lightly salted cucumbers in a bag are crispy and very tasty. Thanks to the garlic and dill, the vegetables have a delicious aroma.
Chop the herbs and garlic. Cut the red pepper in half and remove the seeds if you don't want a too spicy dish.
Wash the cucumbers. Make a few small cuts on them, or remove the tips from both sides, so they will salt out faster.
Place the cucumbers, herbs, garlic, red pepper and cherry leaves in a zip-top bag. Sprinkle with salt, crushed pepper and crushed bay leaves.
Close the ziplock bag and shake well several times. After 2-3 hours, put the cucumbers in the refrigerator.
Lightly salted cucumbers can be tried the next day. But if the vegetables lie down for a day or two longer, it will be even tastier.
