Apricot and orange jam with sugar

This very simple recipe for apricot and orange jam is a great option for preparing for the winter. Serve dessert with pastries and hot tea.

Ingredients
- Apricot 4 kg
- Orange 1 kg
- Sugar 2 kg
Cooking method

Wash and dry the apricots with a towel. Cut into wedges and remove the kernels.

Wash the oranges and cut into half rings. Chop the zest or remove it altogether: large pieces are not very convenient to eat.

Place the sliced apricots and oranges in a deep enamel bowl. Cover with sugar so that the fruit is completely covered.
Leave it on for 2-3 hours. During this time, stir the ingredients several times so that the juice from the fruit mixes with the sugar to form a syrup.

After most of the sand has dissolved, put the pot over the fire.
If the syrup is low, you can add ½ glass of water.

Cook over low heat, stirring occasionally, for 20 minutes.
Then cool and cook the jam two more times.
Pour the finished jam into sterilized jars and close the lids.
