Chili con carne is a Mexican dish with a very bright taste and aroma. Turkey with beans, stewed in a spicy tomato sauce, is also low-calorie.
In a deep skillet, heat the oil over medium heat.
Put the minced meat in there and fry, stirring occasionally, until it turns brown.
Toss in the finely chopped onion and cook until tender.
Add water, tomatoes, beans and minced garlic and stir.
If you want a more uniform chili consistency, beat the tomatoes with a blender first.
Add all the spices and mix thoroughly.
Bring to a boil, reduce heat to low, and simmer, stirring occasionally, for 30 minutes.
