Chashushuli - a delicious Georgian beef dish

In Georgia, chashushuli is made from beef and served simply with flatbread. The meat is very tender, because it is stewed for a long time with onions, tomatoes and peppers.

Ingredients
- Beef 500 g
- Onion 3 pieces
- Coriander 1 tsp the spoon
- Tomatoes 200-300 g
- Bulgarian pepper 1 piece
- Garlic 5-6 cloves
- Cilantro 70-80 g
- Basil 70-80 g
- Hot red peppers to taste
- Hops-suneli 1 tsp the spoon
- Imeretian saffron to taste
- Salt to taste
Cooking method

Cut the meat into small pieces, the onion into quarters of rings. Stir everything and sprinkle with coriander.
Use lamb or pork if you like.
Place the meat and onions in a thick-walled saucepan or cauldron. Cover and simmer over low heat for about half an hour without opening.
Pour boiling water over the tomatoes and remove the skin from them. Cut the pulp into small pieces and add to the meat and onion. Continue simmering, covered for another 15 minutes.

Peel the bell peppers and chop not too coarsely. Pour with meat with vegetables and leave on fire for another quarter of an hour.
If there is very little liquid, add a little boiling water as needed.

Chop the garlic, chop the greens and put in the bowl. After 10-15 minutes add hot pepper and salt to the dish, season with spices and stir.
You can use both fresh and ground peppers.
After 5 minutes, remove the bowl from heat. Leave the finished dish covered for another 15–20 minutes.
