Potted beef with potatoes and pumpkin

Potted beef is especially delicious when paired with potatoes and pumpkin. The meat turns out to be moderately soft, and the vegetables are very tender, slightly sweetish.

Ingredients
- Beef 400 g
- Potatoes 5 pieces
- Pumpkin 300 g
- Onion 1 piece
- Carrots 1 piece
- Vegetable oil 2-3 tbsp. spoons
- Salt to taste
- Ground black pepper to taste
- Allspice peas to taste
- Water 250 ml
- Butter 80 g
Cooking method
Cut meat, potatoes and pumpkin into medium pieces, onion and carrots into small pieces.
Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat. Fry the beef for 5–8 minutes so that the pieces lighten on all sides. Place on a plate.

In the same skillet, fry the potatoes with carrots and onions for 5–8 minutes, and then the pumpkin for the same time.
Add a little more oil if needed.
Put the meat in pots, add a little salt, ground pepper and allspice.
Put potatoes with onions and carrots on top, and then pumpkin. Lightly salt again.

Pour water into the pots so that the contents are half covered. Place a small piece of butter on top.
The volume of water can vary depending on the size of the pots.
Cover the pots with lids and place in the oven. Simmer the dish for 1 hour 40 minutes at 180 ° C.
