This is a variation on a traditional Greek treat that is prepared for Easter. Although such Easter cookies can be made for no reason.
Finely grate the zest of the orange and squeeze the juice out of the fruit.

In a bowl, combine butter with juice, sugar, honey, cognac, zest, cinnamon, baking soda and salt.
