Ordinary millet porridge will become tastier and more satisfying with fried onions and carrots. Garlic, curry, coriander and paprika add flavor to the dish.
Pour vegetable oil into a saucepan or deep frying pan and heat.
Chop the onion and garlic, finely grate the carrots.
Fry vegetables until golden brown.
Add pepper, coriander, curry and paprika to these. Fry slightly to reveal the flavor and aroma of the spices.
Pour in millet, pour in water, salt and stir.
Cover and bring liquid to a boil.
Reduce heat to medium and cook for about 20 minutes, until the millet has absorbed the water.
Let the porridge brew under the lid for 5-10 minutes.
Sprinkle the finished dish with chopped parsley and pumpkin seeds.
