Despite the simplicity of the recipe, baked chicken will turn out to be very tasty. The secret is in lemon and garlic, which will make the dish aromatic.

Ingredients
- Chicken 1.5-2 kg
- Salt to taste
- Ground black pepper to taste
- Garlic 1 head
- Lemon 1 piece
- Olive oil 2-3 tablespoons
Cooking method
Rinse the chicken and cut the skin up to the joints where the thighs meet the breast to cook evenly. Rub generously inside and outside with salt and pepper, transfer to a baking dish and place lemon and garlic, cut in half, on the sides.
Pour oil over the chicken and place in an oven preheated to 220 ° C for 45 minutes.
After this time, check the readiness: pierce the thickest part of the carcass with a knife and look at the juice that comes out. If it is transparent, then the dish is ready. If reddish, continue baking the chicken, checking every 5 minutes.
Remove the cooked poultry from the oven, let it rest for 15 minutes and cut into portions.
