How and how much to cook soft-boiled eggs

In soft-boiled eggs, the yolks are liquid, creamy, and the proteins thicken, but do not curdle completely.
How to prepare eggs
Eggs should be at room temperature so that the shell does not crack during cooking. Therefore, remove them from the refrigerator about an hour before cooking.
Additionally, to protect the eggs from cracking, you can very gently puncture shell from the blunt side. Insert the needle or other object only a few millimeters so as not to touch the film from the inside.
Rinse eggs thoroughly under running water. There should be no dirt left on them.
How much to cook soft-boiled eggs
Soft-boiled eggs are cooked from 1¹⁄₂ to 3 minutes, depending on the cooking method chosen.
Immediately after boiling, place the eggs in ice water for 1–2 minutes. This will stop the cooking process and also make it easier to remove the shell.
How to cook soft-boiled eggs on the stove
Method 1
Lay out eggs into a saucepan and fill with cold water so that it is 2-3 cm higher than them. Season with salt, bring to a boil over medium-high heat. Then reduce it to moderate and cook for 2 minutes.
Method 2
Place eggs in a saucepan. Pour cold water so that its level is 2-3 cm higher than them. Season with salt, bring to a boil over medium-high heat. Turn off the stove immediately, cover the pan and leave the eggs inside for 1¹⁄₂ – 2 minutes.
Method 3
Boil water in a saucepan, adding salt. There should be enough liquid so that it covers the eggs by 2-3 cm. On the lowest heat, gently dip the eggs into the water using a spoon, slotted spoon, or other device. Turn the heat up a little - so that the water boils just a little. Cook for 2-3 minutes.
How to cook soft-boiled eggs in a slow cooker
Method 1
Place the eggs in a multicooker bowl. Fill them completely with cold water and lightly salt. Cook in the "Steam cooking" mode for 2 minutes. The countdown in this mode will start from the moment the water boils.
Method 2
Pour into the bowl multicooker 3 glasses of water. Place a steaming rack on top and place eggs on top of it. Cook on Steam for 2-3 minutes after the water has boiled.
