A new fan theory is gaining popularity on Twitter. Fans found in new trailer Stranger Things referring to season 4 telling the backstory "Black widow", And Hopper is actually Alexei Shostakov from the Marvel Universe (aka Red Guardian). Although it sounds wild and unlike the truth, the setting is really similar, and both characters are played by the same actor - David Harbor.
Theory:
Hopper is alive in stranger things but the crew never find him and he is trained by the Russians and becomes Red Guardian from the black widow movie
Stranger things is confirmed part of the MCU- Zesty (@ZestyZeo) February 14, 2020
Theory: Stranger Things Hopper survived, but the kids never found him, so the Russians train him and becomes Black Widow's Red Guardian. Proven: Stranger Things is part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
The theory seems crazy, but it has many supporters.

Hardly all the authors of such posts believe in this theory. Some do not even try to hide that they consider her a joke.
