Microsoft showed new Word, Excel and other programs

Microsoft published video demonstrating the updated “universal” design of proprietary services and programs that are part of the Microsoft 365 suite. All of them will now be executed in the spirit of minimalism, which will focus all attention on the content of the documents.

The video demonstrates a consistently styled Fluent Design interface for all company products. In some of them, the user will be able to independently customize the size and location of toolbars, making the service as convenient as possible for himself.

The developers noted the abandonment of the large color bar at the top, which allows you to distinguish applications from the Microsoft package - now you can recognize them by their icon and content. In addition, a new universal search will appear at the top center, which will allow you to quickly find files, contacts and other records.

The interface of all Office programs included in the set will be identical in style on any device, regardless of the operating system - on a tablet, laptop, smartphone or PC. This will make it easy to switch between platforms at any time.

So far, this whole design is a concept that demonstrates a vision for the future of Microsoft services. The developers are striving to come to just such a unified look, which would be as laconic, convenient and recognizable as possible.
