The Internet was unexpectedly blown up by the news about the son of Elon Musk. It's not about the child itself - Musk already has five children from his first marriage - but his name. Elon tweeted that he and his girlfriend Claire Boucher (better known by her pseudonym Grimes) chose X Æ A-12.

What does this mean?

As Grimes explained on her Twitter account, this is a composite name:

• X is an unknown variable.
• Æ - Elvish spelling AI (translated as "love" and / or "artificial intelligence").
• The A-12, Musk and Grimes' favorite aircraft, also called the Archangel, is the predecessor to another famous reconnaissance aircraft, the SR-71. It has no combat weapons or armor - it's just a very fast aircraft. And no violence.
• Also, A is a reference to Archangel, Grimes' favorite song (sung by Burial).
• The X is also a reference to the metal rat, the symbol of 2020.

What is the correct reading of this name? This question is ignored by both parents, and the Internet is already building whole theories. Let's try to figure it out in parts:

• X - everything is more or less clear here: it is read as "ex", but some suggest that the sound is shortened to "s" for ease of pronunciation.
• Æ - it's already more difficult here, given that we are talking about a fictional elvish language. In Latin, this ligature is used in some languages ​​(including French), denoting the sound "e" in transcriptions of words. On Reddit claimthat reads it as "ash" (ash).
• A-12 - can be read literally ("hey-tvelv"), or as Archangel. In addition, the entire name can merge into a simple "Sasha 12" if you abbreviate X: you get ‘S-ash-a-12.

The most readable options are:
