China to launch "artificial sun" in 2020

In 2020, a toroidal installation (tokamak) HL-2M is to be launched in China. It is designed to reproduce the reaction of thermonuclear fusion, which serves as a source of energy for the sun. About it reports portal Futurism.
Work on the installation is kept secret, but in November one of the scientists involved in the creation of the "artificial sun" confirmed that construction is going smoothly. According to him, the device should be put into operation in 2020.
Scientists believe the HL-2M can provide an almost limitless source of clean energy. Before that, for decades, finding a cost-effective way to holding an extremely hot plasma in a closed and stable state long enough to synthesis took place.
The Chinese tokamak could be the device that finally solves this problem, or at least helps move the search for a solution forward. The HL-2M will provide researchers with valuable data on the compatibility of fusion plasma with various approaches to more efficient processing of heat and particles generated by the core of the device, noted nuclear physicist James Harrison.
