1. Fit everything you need into one screenshot
Separate screenshots of correspondence or web pages with scrolling are inconvenient: it is easy to get confused in several files that are identical at first glance. Fortunately, it is now possible to take long screenshots.
Some Android skins have a More Capture function to create such scrolling screenshots. It can be called, for example, "Smart capture", "Scroll capture", "Scrollshot", "Screenshot +". In some smartphone models, after you have made a regular screen, a button appears to create a long one. It works like this: you need to swipe down on the screen, then the image will automatically scroll to save.
Look for this feature among the tools on the curtain or quick access bar, as well as in the settings. And even if it is not in your smartphone, there are special applications like Longshot.
2. React to gestures when taking photos and more
Usually we launch the camera on a smartphone by selecting the corresponding icon on the desktop. A simpler option is to configure the inclusion of the application for taking photos by pressing the buttons on the gadget body. To do this, look in the menu for items that, depending on the manufacturer of your smartphone, may be called "Accessibility" or "Advanced settings".
There are several other known ways to quickly launch the camera - check if they are relevant for your device:
- press the Home button of an unlocked smartphone once or twice;
- press the volume key twice;
- shake the smartphone twice in hand.
Gesture control can also help with self-portraits. For example, on some models, it is enough to show your palm to the camera to get a cool photo in a few seconds. In others, you need to wave your hand in front of a smartphone, demonstrate an open palm, and then squeeze it into a fist, bend your thumb or make a peace gesture.
And that's not all of the gesture control options that the new OPPO smartphones have. For example, flicking your fingers across the off screen will turn on music and switch between songs. Users can assign their own gestures to launch important functions and applications.
3. Turn photos into masterpieces
Downloading image processing apps for cool filters and then wondering what else to remove to free up memory? Perhaps the built-in photo editor of your smartphone will be enough for you. Open any snapshot and select the Edit or Modify menu. There you will probably find filters, settings for brightness, contrast and other characteristics, the ability to crop a picture. Check if your smartphone allows you to apply filters while shooting. Look for this setting in the "Camera" - "Filters" menu.
4. Hide Tinder from prying eyes
It is unlikely that other people have access to your smartphone. But you may still have applications installed that you would like to hide from strangers, especially from children. For example, Tinder, games not too solid for your age, or an alcohol calculator. The good news is that you can hide them without deleting them.
If you have an Android smartphone, tap on the application bar icon, which is located in the center at the bottom of the screen. From the options menu, select Hide / Show Applications. Then mark the ones that should disappear from the screen. If necessary, they can be called from the list of all applications through the same round button in the center. How it works on iOS, we already told.
Preinstalled programs can also be hidden. Find the one you need in the settings and click "Disable" on the tab. You can start it from the "Hidden" section in the same menu.
The simpler option is to hide the applications away. Just create a folder for them on your desktop. And if your smartphone has a fingerprint scanner or face recognition function, the application can be removed to the file safe.
5. Show everything that is hidden
If you can't see something on the screen, use a magnifying glass. You can enable it in the "Accessibility" or "Advanced settings" menu. If you have an Android smartphone, then, most likely, the zoom occurs when you quickly triple-tap the screen with one finger. In some cases, you can even see application icons in detail with a magnifying glass.
6. Run two applications at once
At least smartphones based on Android 9.0 and some other shells have this opportunity. It is relevant for applications that support split screen mode. You can, for example, open a program at the bottom of the screen that you have not figured out yet, and at the top - a training video on working with it. You will be able to use several applications at the same time if they support this feature. For example, you can watch a video in a small window open on top of another program.
On OPPO smartphones with ColorOS 6.1 split screen mode is activated in the settings. Open one application and swipe up on the display with three fingers at the same time: it will appear in the upper half of the screen. You can select the second application from the menu that appears at the bottom.
7. Dial the last number in two movements
If you go to the menu with numbers in the Phone application and press the button with the handset twice, the last outgoing number will be dialed. This feature is implemented in both Android and iOS. After the first press, the number will appear on the screen. The next press will start the set.
8. Neutralize potential pests
A special mode was added in Android 7.1. If you suspect that a recently installed application may be malicious, you can stop it with a few taps on the screen.
You need to press quickly and often: the "panic mode" is activated, and the smartphone will return you to the main screen. You can then stop the app from settings or uninstall it.
9. Protect the secrecy of correspondence
When the developers decided to display the beginning of the notification text on the screen, they thought about our convenience and the frequency of launching their applications. But privacy was not taken care of.
To prevent notifications from being read by someone to whom they are not intended, in the settings find the item "Applications and notifications" or simply "Notifications" (depending on the version) and select the appropriate output option. For example, you can prevent text from being shown or use a fingerprint reader to access a message.
10. Clone Apps
Do you use two different accounts in the app and are tired of switching between them every time? Make a copy of the program to run both clones together or separately. With all settings, accounts and saves.
IN OPPO smartphones with ColorOS 6.1 operating system you can clone applications for social networks Instagram, Skype, Facebook, messengers Viber, WhatsApp, Telegram and others.
After creating a copy, another application icon will appear on the desktop, indicating the new account. You will be able to run clones independently of each other.
