10 years after the release of Tron: Legacy and 38 years after the premiere of the first Disney movie, confirmed revival of the franchise. The third part will be directed by Garth Davis, who directed the drama The Lion and Mary Magdalene. The main role will be played by Jared Leto.

I am amazed and grateful for the opportunity to bring this film to life, especially since both the original video game and the film influenced me so much when I was a young child. The fact that I am part of this new chapter is overwhelming.

Fans of the franchise were surprised by the choice of a director who has no experience in filming large blockbusters. However, by versions Deadline, Garth Davis "actively pursued the project and still convinced Disney executives of his expertise." Perhaps the new part of the story will be different in character from the previous films.

So far, nothing is known about the plot of the third picture and the possible return of the heroes of "Legacy", as well as about the approximate timing of the premiere.
