Homemade mayonnaise with mustard and lemon juice
Collecting onigiraz is much easier than spinning regular rolls. Place a serving of boiled rice (about ⅓ cup) in the center of the nori sheet and distribute in a diamond shape.
Top with spinach leaves, then vegetables and fish. Then spread ⅓ more cups of rice over the filling.
-
Fold the nori with an envelope. For better adhesion, the edges can be moistened with cold water.
-
Wrap the onigirazu tightly with cling film, making the sushi sandwich square. Set the dish aside for 10-15 minutes to allow the nori to stick well and soak in the moisture of the rice.
-
Remove the foil and divide the onigira in half.
-
The dish can be served with or without soy sauce.
