List of Samsung devices with 3-year support

As part of the recent presentation Unpacked, where there were presented flagships Galaxy Note20, Samsung announced plans to increase the term of software support for its mobile devices. Company representatives assured that many gadgets will now receive major updates to the Android OS within three years. Today on the official website appeared and a list of such gadgets.
Devices that will receive new versions of Android within three years:
- Galaxy S smartphones: Galaxy S20 Ultra 5G, S20 Ultra, S20 + 5G, S20 +, S20 5G, S20, S10 5G, S10 +, S10, S10e, S10 Lite;
- Galaxy Note smartphones: Galaxy Note20 Ultra 5G, Note20 Ultra, Note20 5G, Note20, Note10 + 5G, Note10 +, Note10 5G, Note10, Note10 Lite;
- Galaxy A smartphones: Galaxy A71 5G, A71, A51 5G, A51, A90 5G;
- Foldable Galaxy devices: Galaxy Z Fold2 5G, Z Fold2, Z Flip 5G, Z Flip, Fold 5G, Fold;
- Galaxy Tab S: Galaxy Tab S7 + 5G, Tab S7 +, Tab S7 5G, Tab S7, Tab S6 5G, Tab S6, Tab S6 Lite.
Samsung also noted that for three years all future smartphones of the Galaxy S, Galaxy Note, Galaxy Z series, as well as Galaxy Tab S tablets will receive new versions of Android. New Galaxy A items will be updated selectively (most likely, updates will be released only for top-end devices of the line).
The first smartphones to receive the fresh Android 11 will be the Galaxy S20 series devices. An update for them is expected at the end of the year.
