Recreation / / December 29, 2020
A buyer came to the seller and wanted to buy a fashionable cap. It cost 200 rubles, and the young man-buyer had only one banknote of 500 rubles. In order not to lose a client, the seller exchanged this money with a neighbor, a merchant. She gave him three bills: 200 rubles, 200 rubles and 100 rubles.
The seller gave the buyer a cap and change of 300 rubles, and the young man left. A couple of minutes later, an alarmed neighbor came running to the merchant and said that the bill he had given her was fake. And then she demanded her money back. The embarrassed seller returned her 500 real rubles from his cash register. How much was the hapless merchant deceived?
