how reports Variety, citing its own sources, is already working on a new Star Wars series for Disney +. The project is directed by Leslie Hadland, showrunner and executive producer of the critically acclaimed Netflix Matryoshka series. The first season received 13 Emmy nominations and eventually took away three statuettes.
There are no details about the series yet. It is only known that female characters will be in the center of the plot, and the action will unfold in a different time period than other projects of this universe. Hadland will act as showrunner and screenwriter, while recruiting is still underway.
This is far from the only series in the universe that will be released in the next couple of years. At least in development second and third seasons of "The Mandalorian", TV series about Obi-Wan Kenobi starring Ewan McGregor and the TV prequel Rogue One, starring Diego Luna.
