Before the premiere second season Netflix's The Witcher is at least a year away, and it's no surprise that fans brighten up the suspense by wondering how the plot might turn out. ScreenRant shared interesting theory that the ending of the first season is not as good as it might seem.
Caution: Spoilers Next
Recall that episode 8 of season 1 ends with the long-awaited meeting of Geralt and Ciri. But what if, in fact, the witcher never met real Cyril?
Earlier in the series, it was shown how a Doppler (a creature capable of taking the form of people and other creatures), Adonis, disguised as Myshovur, pursued Ciri on the orders of Cahir. The princess recognized the substitution and was able to escape - but then she was again caught by Adonis, this time in the guise of Cahir. He ties the girl to a tree, takes her form himself and meets the real Cahir. He injures Adonis, but the Doppler escapes.
There is a possibility that Adonis continued his pursuit - and eventually took her form again to confuse Cahir and his men. And it was the Doppler in the guise of Ciri that met Geralt, while the girl herself was hidden somewhere.
Reddit user TheRickiestMorty even suggestedwhat exactly Adonis wants from Ciri is her rare blonde hair for her collection. By copying a person, the Doppler gains access to all his memories and habits, and in the guise of Myshovur he was supposed to behave exactly like the real Mousovur - but at the same time he constantly touched his hair Ciri. Dopplers collect body parts, and it is likely that Cahir promised Adonis the wonderful hair of Ciri.
