A preview of the new Pixar cartoon entitled “Forward». Officially, it will be released only on March 6 (in Russia the premiere will take place a day earlier), but now the first reviews have begun to appear on the Web.
This is a story about a world full of magical creatures, which has lost all magic - as a result, elves, trolls and centaurs have become a life of ordinary life, like humans. Two elf brothers get the opportunity to return their deceased father for one day - and together with him go on a journey to different worlds and find out why there is no more magic in their own world. Here's what the first viewers say about this picture:
Onward is a Pixar film that feels completely unlike any other Pixar film before it. An emotional yet comedic tale that focuses on loss, magic and brotherhood. The story is expertly crafted and will surely pull on the heartstrings of anyone who has ever lost a parent or loved one. pic.twitter.com/MHtzbMHoW0

"Forward" is a Pixar cartoon that is completely different from the studio's previous works. It is an emotional yet funny tale of loss, magic and what it is like to be brothers. The story is well written and will surely touch anyone who has ever lost a parent or loved one.
In a surprise to no one @Pixar has delivered yet another great film with #onward. 3rd act brought some tears. Congrats to @MrDanScanlon and everyone that worked on the film. Absolutely recommended. pic.twitter.com/lx45NUdtsY

Hardly anyone will be surprised, but Pixar has once again created an excellent film. It's hard to keep from crying in the third act. Congratulations to Dan Scanlon [director and screenwriter of the cartoon] and everyone else who worked on Forward. I definitely advise you to take a look.
Onward is weird and ✨wonderful✨ Consistently surprising, appropriately sweet, occasionally profound, perfectly Pixar.
My only complaints: (1) we don’t get enough of the trash unicorns (2) it made me want to call my dad’s legs?? #OnwardPixar#Onwardpic.twitter.com/RkAKGe33NL

Forward is strange and wonderful. Constantly surprising, moderately kind, at times deep - the perfect Pixar cartoon. I only have two complaints: I ran out of scavenger unicorns and now I want to call Daddy's feet ??
God damn you Pixar! My tear ducts can't handle all these emotional you throw at me in one sitting. "ONWARD" is masterfully composed, outrageously assembled, and beautifully orchestrated. One of the studios very best works.#PixarOnwardpic.twitter.com/hMjibxLYSI

Pixar damn it! My eyes can't handle so many emotional moments in one film. Vperyod is amazingly written and done, and the score is just as great. This is one of the studio's best pieces.
Pixar's Onward captured all the little ways we cope through grief as families, its impact and the search for closure from what's been lost. Ultimately how in that journey we find that the glue that holds us together is one another. It was so beautiful. #Onward

Onward from Pixar captures all the little things we cling to when we grieve in the family, when we try to cope and abstract from loss. How we find a way to reassemble ourselves. It was amazing.
However, not everyone liked the movie So strong.
#Onward’S not my favorite Pixar movie, nor is it the studio’s best, but it is a story that will resonate with many. Definitely some laughs and a good time all around. If you’re a fan of RPGs, this one’s for you.

Onward is not my favorite Pixar movie, or the studio's best work, but it's a story that will resonate with many. There are good jokes, and overall you will have a great time. RPG lovers will surely love it.
The premiere of the cartoon in Russia will take place on March 5.
