An interesting update for the fans of The Witcher series has appeared on the official site of the American Writers Guild. The resource notes that Bo DeMayo, the screenwriter for the first season of the series for Netflix, is now working on a project called The Witcher: Nightmare of the Wolf. There are no details yet, but Redanian Intelligence, who are the first discovered this entry on the site claims to be an animated film.
DeMayo was working on the third episode of the series, in which Geralt fights a stryga. Considering how this episode turned out, it is quite possible that "Nightmare of the Wolf" will be with a bias towards horror. The publication notes that the voice acting is likely to be done by Henry Cavill and other actors of the series.
No details yet, but executive producer Tomek Baginski mentioned in an early interview that the creators are preparing "some interesting surprises" between seasons. Perhaps this animation is just one of them.
The premiere of the second season of "The Witcher"
will take place in 2021. Nightmare of the Wolf will be released earlier - perhaps even before the end of 2020. The site of the voice actress Harriet Kershaw also hints at this: on it notedthat she is taking part in a certain project on the "Witcher" in 2020, where she voices "various roles."Update: Netflix confirmedthat such a film will actually come out, and that DeMayo and TV showrunner Lauren Schmidt Hissrich are working on it. Responsible for animation is Studio Mir ("Avatar: The Legend of Korra").
