What do you do in your work?
Our team of IT-evangelist helps developers across the country to use the new technologies and the Microsoft platform to create their own products.
We have a fairly wide range of areas. Some assist students in the development of new technologies and other advice startups, Others write technical articles and organizing events for professional developers, the fourth work with large Russian companies.
What is your occupation?
In 2006 I graduated from Murmansk State Technical University on specialty "Software of computer facilities and the automated systems".
I am inspired by the global world of technology.
He worked in IT since the first year. First - the system administrator and master of all trades, then - the developer, and in 2007 became an expert in software development technologies in the Russian office of Microsoft. He tried his hand at various roles in our department, in 2011, managed for half a year to go to the Microsoft headquarters in Redmond. Who is helping the team develop the evangelists IT-ecosystem in our country and I hope, that helps me in this programming experience. Although, unfortunately, directly to them, I will not do.
But I try to constantly expand our horizons. After all, the world of technology evolves, and holograms, machine learning and robots become part of our lives. Listen online courses international business schools, regularly come on Coursera and Microsoft Virtual Academy, read the articles and books.
What are your strengths and weaknesses?
Strengths is a continuation of the weak. And vice versa.
Me enough curiosity and tenacity to help find new directions and allow to reach their goals.
The downside - the desire for adventure and novelty, the constant switching of interests.
How does your workplace?
In the workplace, I have a lot of different characters and objects that at first glance are not related to work: Kenny from South Park, a big red button Bullshit Generator, Om Nom from Cut the Rope (gift partners). But all this creates a free, creative and a fun work environment.
At home, in the office, at conferences and in a way I am accompanied by a variety of devices. Usually I am working on the laptop Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon and Surface Pro 4. Like the fact that the high performance and reliability are light, comfortable and take up little space. After the upgrade to the "Quartet» Surface became the main working tool both in the office and on the go.
Since we have a cross-platform company, I have a whole zoo of devices, including the iPod touch, Nexus 7, iPad mini, Lenovo Miix, Moto G and many previous generations of Windows Phone. But my main smartphone - Lumia 950 is.
Also in the bag is always room for Amazon Kindle Paperwhite, and on hand - for bracelet Fitbit Charge HR, it measures the heart rate, number of steps and distance.
BY
I use the Microsoft Office 365 cloud-based office applications, because a lot of the time I spend away from the office, and access to work files need anytime, anywhere. Basic tools - it is Outlook, OneNote, and Word.
I use multiple browsers: microsoft Edge"Yandex. Browser. "
I easily found on the social networks. Always open Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and all kinds of messengers: Telegram, Facebook, WhatsApp, «VKontakte», Skype.
When you want to share photos, use photo editors that are already built into the social services. In my opinion, Instagram filters and powerful camera Lumia 950 enough for a good shot.
From web services like Pocket and Goodreads. The first allows you to defer reading interesting articles, and my library is stored in the second. Due to this the weekend I usually formed by an excellent selection of what you can read.
Sometimes I order a taxi via the Uber app "Mostaksi", "Yandex. Taxi».
Is there a place in your paper work?
I completely digital people.
We all have New Year's resolutions: what I would like to stop doing as from 1 January. So, one day I decided that I will no longer purchase paper books. Now I buy them on the "liters", and at once in the Kindle format with sending the device. On the Kindle stores all my library.
The same applies to notes and photos: they are all stored in the cloud or on digital media. The paper is used only at the meetings. Usually I draw some doodles that help focus, or, conversely, to switch attention. But it recently began making a pen on the Surface.
What is in your bag?
In addition to gadgets in my bag does not get anything.
But I'm nothing more is needed. :)
How do you organize your time?
The main tool for time management - Outlook. There my whole life. In our department has an assistant who helps with scheduling an appointment with the calendar, and then everything works in the mail.
Personal calls prefer to mail or message. Telephone conversation difficult to pass without distortion, and a letter can be sent, add to the list of tasks, and, therefore, harder to forget about it. In addition to the meetings is difficult to find time for a phone call, but the text can solve many issues.
In Outlook reflects not only the negotiations, tasks and presentations, but also the time to prepare for it. But my inbox is never empty: it contains a list of active tasks, which either resolves on its own, or delegate to colleagues.
What's your daily routine?
I'm a night owl, which is trying to become a morning person. My morning begins c multiple alarms. Saves loud metal from IKEA and my cat Audrey that day persistently and inevitably raises me to work. Only in holiday let myself relax and turn off all the alarms.
Upon awakening, I read mail and news during the night, to keep abreast of the latest developments in the world of IT, business and politics. Then I am going to the office at nine in the morning, sometimes - for an hour or two earlier.
I dream of a time when I can sleep, relax, read all of the planned book, talk to all the people with whom I want, and it will last for a long time.
The standard working day is filled with lots of appointments, meetings, training or presentations to conferences. The evening always goes in different ways, but one thing always: I fall asleep with thoughts about what I want to do tomorrow.
How to pass the time in traffic jams?
Consciously choose accommodation close to work, not to lose time in traffic jams. If you have meetings with partners from other offices, trying to assign them to the time when the roads are relatively free. If it does get into the plug, turn on the radio during the day - Business FM, and in the evening - Relax FM.
As an evangelist I spend a lot of time on business trips, flights, and their expectations. All procedures - put the keys, remove the belts - already pass on the machine. Almost like in the movie "Up in the Air."
Plane for me - a place of rest, where I watch movies, read books, write lyrics, I go on the computer with something does not work-related, or simply sleep.
What's your hobby?
Travel and "Formula-1".
Fortunately, my job involves a lot of flights, crossings, dating, and I am always ready to break up and go somewhere where not yet visited.
More I'm a fan of motorsport. Since 1994, I see "Formula 1", and it never ceases to delight and inspire me.
What place sport occupies in your life?
As a child loved to play soccer. Now just doing exercises in the morning, sometimes I run and ride a bike, try a lot of walking. But all this is hardly a sport.
With trepidation forward to the day when I begin to constantly upload photos from marathons, as half of the tape to Facebook, but it is morally not ready for this.
