What do you do in your work?

The last six months I organize a small IT company. Currently our team consists exclusively of friends and acquaintances, which, I think, to a large extent makes the job more interesting. Now we provide services for the design, layout, web application development and promotion. I've been doing web development and planning to go to Ruby on Rails. In most cases, we are working with Western customers, so you may have to stay at work until late, and even at night. This is not the first configuration of the workplace. In fact, I am in search of the perfect configuration of the workplace. As an educational and reference books I used to use paper-based books. Despite the fact that all the fiction I read on the Sony PRS-505, the technical always been easy to handle due to the quick navigation and the possibility to make notes. Therefore, the literature on hand.

In the office, we have a lot of music on vinyl. Sometimes it's nice to hear something old or Classics, and of most of these works, I would never have learned if not for old records. For quite a long time I have been using Ubuntu, usually the latest version.

For chats and phone calls using a Skype, but to be honest, just because of the fact that customers commonly use it. Previously I used Pidgin, but, unfortunately, no longer need.

In the development of use JEdit, Gedit and RadRails (The truth is less and less). To use the database SQlite DB Browser. Local server for Ruby - WEBrick.

To work with a hosting use FileZilla.

Is there a place in your paper work?

Yes, definitely. I have multiple notebooks for different purposes. Almost always I use the paper in the preparation of the plan for the day and before starting work on a new project. As I said before, I like to read books on paper and take notes in Moleskine. Maybe someday I'll get rid of it, but so far so I'm comfortable.

Is there a dream configuration?

Frankly, it's banal things - I want to go completely on the Mac. I plan to do so in the future, since so far no such possibility. I want to buy a MacBook Pro 15.4 ", and iPad, to carry.

MacBook enjoyed some time and he has left a positive impression. Many would agree that when using Ruby is difficult to find a more suitable platform than poppy. But I'm not in a hurry with this, I want to wait for a new line and then we will plan any changes.

In general, the configuration of dreams - it is light and powerful laptop and a small European country like Slovenia. I plan to go there in the summer to the other and to live there for a couple of months. This is the dream at the moment.
