Designer, illustrator, author of the font and inspiration WhiteForType. AppForType came up with an application that allows everyone in the future may become a graphic designer, and business organizer WorkAndDream.
What do you do in your work?
I've been doing lettering and all that this implies. Lettering - design direction, when the letters and signs are transformed into separate drawings. Most of the time working on commercial orders: making logos and corporate identities.
Yet I have an online store with my production of goods - WhiteForTypeAs well as the two major products: Business organizer WorkAndDream and AppForType application. The app makes it possible to decorate a photo of my script. An organizer can gather in one place all their plans, finances, to do lists, and current challenges. It is designed for those who have a small business.

What is your occupation?
I studied at the St. Petersburg State University in the graphical designer. They are now up and running, combining with accounting obligations, manager, SMM specialist and responsible for production.
After I moved to St. Petersburg to Moscow and began to study at the British Higher School of Design at the illustrator. But there I was a bit boring - had dropped out and start your project.
I think to become a designer, do not necessarily learn in high school. Receive higher education - it was good. But this does not guarantee that you will be a good designer.
In universities, very few are prepared for real life and real work with customers. Produces absolutely no idea where to find the orders, how much is your job and how to defend their project in front of a real customer. All we have to learn the most commonly from their mistakes. However, for the self-discipline needed certain level, which is usually right after school yet.
How does your workplace?
I work for the iMac 27 ". I think this is the best buy in the last few years.
Huge monitor - a big plus, as I like to open multiple windows. But sometimes numb neck. Often I turn on one half of the screen series, and the second I open Photoshop.
If your work is connected with the technique, it is better not to save.
Now more currently acquiring the Macbook Pro 15 ", to work on the go (move frequently between St. Petersburg and Moscow).
Also I use Epson scanner and tablet Wacom. I bought them six years ago, and they let me down so far.
My phone - iPhone 6. He had already fallen to the bathroom several times in the tile, but still alive. The phone does not usually laid out by color / theme / folder. I try to keep the applications that often use, on the same screen.
Most visited me - this is Instagram, post office, "Savings Bank" and WhatsApp. This is what I use every day. More on this screen is a test version AppForType. It is necessary to update almost every day and look for errors.
One of the interesting applications I have installed:
- Bookmate - read books there.
- Pocket - Save articles, which are then usually read on airplanes when nothing else to do.
- TheQuestion - I can chasm there and spend hours reading the answers to interesting questions, find a new book or a podcast.
- MaskArt - animates the part of the photo.
- YouDo - the application, where you can give the task (call a courier, transport furniture between cities, to repair the crane) and choose the artist. Not once have I rescued.
Is there a place in your paper work?
Half a day working on the computer, half drawing on paper. I am using regular office Svetocopy and mascara "Gamma". Opt for low cost materials, as the costs I have a lot of them.
At the same time I adept of modern technologies and try to maximize all digitized. I'm thinking even buy iPad Pro and Apple Pencil, to draw less on paper.
How do you organize your time?
What I did not have a relationship, so it is with planners Affairs. When there was a need for a diary, trying to use the calendars, different applications, but did not find suitable.
Then I just launched WhiteForType: in addition to the meetings, it was necessary to make many lists, keep track of finances, growth in subscribers in social networks (I get 90% of orders from Instagram). It was an urgent need to collect all these things in one place.
I was irritated that finance should be conducted in a single application, to-do lists - in the other, and shopping lists - in the third. Application, where you could keep it all together, proved to be too complicated.
Paper Notebooks, too, did not fit, because usually in diary there are only fields for current affairs and a few blank pages.
As a result, I released her business organizer.
What's your daily routine?
Mode I is no such.
Now I try to move the job to the light of the day, to sleep at night. But when you work on itself, it is difficult not to stay the night before.

Tips novice designers
Those who are just starting to work as a designer, I recommend as much effort spent on it to build your portfolio. What is in it, will determine which orders you will be coming.
At first look for an opportunity to work on orders that are interesting to you. I'm the first few months, she wrote to customers after the start of the project and offered to draw them something for free, but the way I like it.
As a result, I quickly gathered a portfolio. Many of those projects, customers began to use because they are too much. They began to recommend to my friends with whom I have worked for the money.
Site
The Question. Before you go, you should know that on this resource can disappear for the whole day! The site looks like a «Ответы@Mail.ru», only he did not want to run away in the first five seconds. Questions are extremely diverse: ranging from "How to carry giraffes" to "Why Japan does not produce the planes." They answer the questions experts often.
Thus, questions on art meet the doctor of art criticism, the question of the long flight AnyWayAnyDay answers, but why stick lollipop has a square hole has told the employee of the company.
There you can find a exchange program, free online courses or an excellent selection of books on business.
Podcasts and lectures
- podcast "How to make a million». Entrepreneurs tell us how they created their business, sometimes even with the numbers. Listened for several days, until the process one big order. Very interesting! The podcast will appeal to those who want to start a business and are interested in the process itself. Most of all I liked about the issues "Dablbi" and clothes Oh, my!
- Lecture I was very impressed with the performance to paint stripes on the design view 'Roll design. "
- "Why do not we all have one true recognition" - my favorite speech at TED. Very small, but very inspiring entry for those who can not decide on the way of life.
What is your life motto?
Listen to your desires, to be able to separate them from the desires and expectations of others and to work to implement these desires.
