What do you do in your work?

I am a web designer and art director. Now my main work involves tilda Publishing - a service that allows you to create cool websites in a matter of days, little money and without a great team. I believe that a great future for him, so I was very inspired by Tilda and completely absorbed.

But apart from that, I run a design studio FunkyPunkyWhich makes the sites in order. I am also intensive "Web Design. Digital storytelling "at the British Higher School of Design. It takes place twice a year: winter and summer.

I am inspired by the mountains, beautiful girls and good typography.

What is your occupation?

I graduated from the British Higher School of Design. Twice. The main course, where I studied, - "Visual Communication". This is a two-year training course for art directors, curator - Leonid Feigin. Now he is not teaching, but it is the coolest art director, I learned a lot from him and realized that all do. Scary thought, but it was seven years ago.

Before came to Briton, I have worked for five years a designer and a lot of know how, but I felt plugging it with the creative implementation. I accumulated a lot of questions, and when I came to this baggage Briton, teaching in the end turned out super-efficient.

That model, when you're five years old sitting at the desk and just learn, does not work anymore - too quickly things change.

My first degree - it is a classic technical education. I graduated from the polytechnic. But if the first course did not suit a designer in the studio I would probably regret the time spent. Although I got the universal knowledge and skills, thinking has become more systematic and there were social networks, but all too quickly become obsolete, need to learn and at the same time to apply the knowledge in practice. Just learn - is not enough.

What must be able to designer?

I like web design, because it is one of the most multi-disciplinary professionals. There is such a concept as a professional - this is T-shaped person. Vertical wand symbolizes that you are an expert in some area, and horizontal - that is able to communicate with experts in other fields. In web design, this horizontal line is very wide: photographers, editors, illustrators, Video designer, programmers, a lot of things.

What are your strengths and weaknesses?

I am sick. I think I'm a workaholic. On the one hand, it is good for the profession. I concentrate on work and work a lot. But it also prevents me because I suffer a personal hobby and chat outside on the topic.

I dream of a country, a small country house that I build myself.

How does your workplace?

I have a beautiful office in Artplay, I am very happy with it. It's a great studio with six-meter ceilings and a five-meter ceiling window. Here is a nice atmosphere, a lot of green plants, bright colored furniture and, of course, the people who work with me and also sets the mood.

When we moved in, there were bare walls. At first we just put a few tables of the IKEA, but gradually everything has acquired parts, came to life. I made with their own hands a large table made of wood, for which we work, drink tea or conduct meetings and negotiations. But the coolest - it's flowers in the office, we have a lot of them.

For larger projects, we always collect moodboard - this is the picture, which set the project style.

Also on the big board write new ideas and paint projects.

As such, the working space I have, because I have all the time to navigate through the studio: it was sitting at the same table, then another, then on the couch. Workplace me everywhere. The most important thing - the laptop.

• Tilda. Now almost all of the sites we do it. We follow the rule of Content First. Tilda gives us all the tools to make the classroom over the site, and we are focused on the content: text, photos, videos and graphics. Great saves money and time.
• Browser. Only Chrome, I do it like.
• Post office. I do not use Gmail in your browser, and do not recommend, because it is not as expeditious as the mail client.

Push-notifications are enabled. I receive a payment notification at Tilda. Design I have always done in Photoshop, but as long as developed Tilda, I remembered the skills learned in the Polytechnic Institute, and started programming. Gradually, I turn to the design in the browser. I use a text editor to code - Coda - and I draw code. It turned out that it is comfortable and pleasant.

On the phone I have two main businesses: Tilda and FunkyPunky. The Gmail app I get mail for FunkyPunky, and comes to Yandex that is associated with Tilda.

I do not use any planners. For me, a much more effective working regular text editor. I create lots of notes, which are stored all in iCloud.

More important thing in the phone - Notes. Universal thing to quickly record ideas, plans, films to look out for, and so on. Such a simple thing was so convenient. I like podcasts. there's an app PodcastsAbout it, few people know little and those who use it, which is strange. I subscribe to a podcast, "The model for the assembly", and recently found a cool podcast "features funk", now all the time listening to it, there is great music. How do you organize your time?

Startup - trillions of tasks and all - interesting, so it's easy to get carried away routine. But planning - supervazhnye thing. That it was time, we somehow itself formed a business breakfast format.

Monday morning started pleasantly: we meet in a cafe, drink coffee with cinnamon buns and at the same time discuss what has been done in the last week, what are your plans for the forthcoming, the next and the next month.

It is very good to start the work week with the analysis done and the forthcoming planning. Some tasks then corrected during the day, but the overall trend remains. There are also long-term plans, as I just keep in mind that you need to devote the next month, for example, improve the Help section, in order to reduce the burden on customer support. This is a common problem which then concretized into smaller ones.

Do you have a daily morning ritual?

My morning ritual - porridge. Be sure to eat porridge. This is the perfect dish. Her swallow like an astronaut space food - fed and happy. Eat porridge.

I am happy when I eat cookies, fish and drink their milk.

How to pass the time in traffic jams?

Recently, I gave up on the car. He is standing in the parking lot, and I use it very rarely. It is, in general, complete idiocy - stuck in traffic jams. Plus I do not have enough traffic, so I walk.

Workout! Not so long ago, we found the guys that a lot of cool free sports grounds in Moscow. Close to Artplay have this on the school grounds. First. I'm sure the person always need some kind of challenge. All adjusted, you're comfortable, doing, everything seems OK... Suddenly depression begins. So you need to listen to ourselves and to realize that as soon as the beginning of sadness, it is a bell, it's time to get out of your comfort zone.
