Here, it seems to me necessary to digress a bit and talk about how Macs invaded my personal space. It all started with a small 12-inch iBook'a, nicknamed Little Monica. He came at me for a long time, even when he was quite advanced model in its class. Once he saved my project, because he died on the PC hard drive, and I edited the video, and also made a flush on the same kid with a 1.2 GHz processor and 256 MB RAM. Since then, I have not changed and do not want to change, because with his current role he manages great netbook. After that, one of my birthdays, Apple has made a gift to me, announcing that their new computers can run Windows as well as Mac OS X (for some reason, then it seemed important, but in Windows I logged in once or twice, no more), and I bought a splendid macmini as a gift for the day birth. He's wonderful to work in tandem with the Monitor Mitsubishi Diamond Pro 2070SB, until he hid behind a wall cabinet and was not replaced by the Apple Cinema Display 23 ". Then there was a dizzying whirlwind that brought another of the same display, Mac Pro, iPhone and added to all this external hard drive WD Book Studio Edition II, tablet Intuos 3 and PSP. And formed my current workplace.

Not difficult to see that I have not touched any audio components. This is because I, first of all, I think that is due to the work and PSP;), representing computer, but do not think that the Mac Pro is forced to make sounds through the built-in speakers. To play Daft Punk, Robbie Williams and many others use the old well-tested speakers S-90 Radio technology. Begins a nightmare, it lacks all the convenient features that just a week eaten into your life, freeing time and workspace. IPhone is terrible: it is buggy, sometimes retarding, refuses to read all the thoughts, not just some, do not want to work portable data storage and slip out of hands in gloves. Its advantage is that the other phone is even worse;) Of vital for me besides the standard programs on iPhones are i2Reader (only handy program for reading electronic books, which I have seen) and Twitterrific. For the rest, I am of the opinion that the phone needs to call and write SMS'y.

On a computer that is running Mac OS X 10.6.2 (Mac OS X came with Mac Pro) is installed too many programs to describe them all. Here and eternal friend of the designer (no Korelov!) And a comfortable program. Here they are much more interesting, I'll tell them.

The browser, which I use - Safari. It is useful, good, and it is more or less normal to the interface (about third Fayrfoks and last opera I wrote). In general, I have enough of its functionality.

From a Skype instant messengers, which I prefer to communicate, as well as AdiumXWhich serves to communicate with Jabber-services and ICQ (which I prefer not to talk to anyone and I do not advise).

Standard Calendar, syncs with iPhone calendar, so there's nothing special - one of the many pleasant things in Apple products, which eats into life;)

A real discovery for me was μTorrent for Mac OS X - it successfully combines the simplicity of the concept of Transmission and Vuze, but differs from the first large convenience of the organization, and the second that is not written in Java, therefore, does not slow down like crazy, but on the contrary - flies.

Extremely successful program, I think Skitch - now the majority of pictures and intermediate visualization shows only through it, because it is fast and convenient.

Good font manager, I have not found. They are all good, but I was not very convenient to work with them. Now I use someone there award program called FontCase.

Videos look, never would have thought in Quicktime X and do not have any problems even with the format mkv. The VLC, like many open source solutions, is good, but too open source.

Charts, graphics, interface circuits, and so I have great pleasure in creating, using OmniGraffle. Very easy to use program!

As for e-mail, I check it directly in a browser at gmail.com. On receipt of new letters I learn from the iPhone, which is connected to a Mac Pro for wifi and check email every 15 or 30 minutes, I do not remember exactly.

No matter how bad it sounded, but in my work without papers can not be dispensed. Only recently pulled in shredder stack of thick five centimeters, contains intermediate data for a completed over the last couple months of the project. Get caught this pile of papers to some industrial spy, he would be happy;) But it's not the most important papers. As the most important tool in my paper work stands proud notebook Moleskine. He was presented to me an anonymous Santa Claus with leprosy, who accompanied his wish that I have used them in their professional activities. This is a separate issue, and I already wrote a lot of boring text, so that for them the next time;)

Here, it seems, and everything that surrounds me in the workplace and in the work at all. Because I really love what I do, I find it difficult to separate work from life, so that the working place get electric and PSP, and in the life seep modular grids and communication strategy. It's hard to say whether there is a dream for me configuration. Before this interview, I did not even know the clock frequency of your Mac Pro (2,66 GHz).
