Search goals and help my father
I graduated from the Faculty of World Politics at the Moscow State University and did not even think that I would do business. After university I worked for almost a year in the specialty, and then settled in More IT-corporation in Moscow. Fairly quickly I found myself at a crossroads and began to think, what do I want: to develop a large company or do something different.
For 25 years I have been tormented by the thought: "And I did what?" Life is held on the standard schedule: five days in the office, and on Friday, you can go out with friends in the bar. At some point, you realize that everything is meaningless. You're just a cog in the system, which will replace tomorrow someone else. In the end, it turns out that when you have nothing left.
In parallel with the work in the IT-company, I made bow ties, which brought enough money to periodically go on vacation and do not think about that tomorrow in the fridge will be empty. However, I still felt that these accessories do not have any value. After much speculation about his own destiny, I resigned from a large corporation, has continued to engage in butterflies and went to visit his father in Little Turishev.
In Moscow, I have everything was fine: I could earn and send money to the Pope. But in the village, I was faced with this despair: I saw that people live behind fences and do not communicate, and the father of 50 years have scuffs. It became clear that this support must not only send money home, and do something together.
Honey and chat with the locals
Dad had a business in Yekaterinburg - a shop with clothes, which he had brought from Istanbul. Even then I noticed that it is moving to a close because the city came to the big chains, which have sharply reduced the interest to the fine points. In addition, the father was an apiary of 40 families - this is quite a lot. However, and here it was impossible to be realized. Nine months of continuous care for the bees did not pay off, because my dad just did not have time to sell honey. I was upset and thought how to help a loved one to find meaning in life again.
Houses kept two tons of honey, but to sell it in the usual form is not profitable: revenue, at best, amount to 200 thousand rubles. If you count the nine months of the beekeeper at the rate of $ 100, it becomes clear that you have gone into minus. Moreover, the apiary is constantly under construction, so that additional resources are required. To recoup energy and money, I decided to do something different from the usual product. It turned out that in Canada for hundreds of years honey is whipped, and to get rid of excess sweetness that my childhood I did not like, you can add berries.
Equipment from Germany at a cost of 300 thousand rubles, but other than that needed to enlist the support of residents of the Small Turishev.
It seems that you build production and all come running to work, but it is not. In Russian villages do not trust businesses.
There is a common stereotype: if will realize something on sale, so do bad. Moreover, people are used to living through farming and grandmother's pension. They do not understand that part of the garden can be sacrificed in order to earn a little more.
Work on the trust and help of sponsors
First, to cooperate with us in all four grandmothers, who agreed to pick berries. We have no one cheated and actually paid money, so word of mouth worked good. Residents began to realize that a number of dealers are not, as a real manufacturer, who is trying to do the right product in the cities. Gradually, people came to us, and I realized that the common cause unites much more than the idea of the position "for" or "against."
First-time costs went only to banks, labels and salaries grandmothers. Many things we did ourselves, because the village is full of craftsmen. Also, I got support by a crowdfunding - collective financing. People volunteer to help the funds to support the project, and in return receive a thing. We have always offered to buy products that are not already in the range of shops, first sent the cream with honey and then herbal teas, honey mousse, caramel and cosmetics.
The money that people give for the product is not completely spent on a project. The cost of the lot, in addition to profits, costs are laid on the creation and delivery of the purchased goods. As a result, we not only collect the necessary sum, but also test how our products are of interest to the audience.
For the first time we are going to tumble berries, and we wrote the Moscow magazine "Big City", which now no longer exists. Media support was very helpful and we got three times more than planned: 450 000 rubles instead of 150,000. Then we announced the collection of the construction of the first and second parts of the production plant, and for the fourth time - on a large factory. However, at the last moment refused to build it, so as not to turn the village into the village. We decided that the premises should be small - about 150 square meters.
Then we planned to build in the Small Turishev community center. At its foundation, we have collected 1.6 million rubles, of which 600 000 had brought a group of "CHajf". People bought tickets to the concert, which took place right here in the village and knew that all the funds will be spent on construction. Right now we are collecting money for the 3000 boards for the production of timber, from which erect a community center.
Net income from crowdfunding on average only 30% of the collected amount, because of the money spent on the commission, taxes, production of purchased lots sponsors and their delivery. However, we take this opportunity as a way to talk about the projectTo attract attention and to change the infrastructure of the village. Of course, the main income comes from the sale of products through the online store, corporate clients and in retail chains, but crowdfunding helps to gain new loyal customers. For his contribution to our business people get the goods, for which in the future will likely be back.
Responsibilities and career
Formation of the state lasted for two years. When we built the production and invited residents Small Turishev to work with us, faced with a problem: no all ready to do something all the time, because I do not want to be integrated into the schedule and every day to come to work. First responded, only one woman - Galia. The rest began to think about our offer at that moment, when she bought a washing machine - the village is a great achievement. Now the production of 12 people are employed, and berries, herbs and other raw materials are collected not only the grandmother, and people of all ages. They had 230 people last year.
, So basically the male population is engaged in a technical workshop to work, we need communication service and delivery of products from a warehouse in the Moscow office, where the goods gets to the point of self-delivery and on house. In addition, some sets are sold in wooden boxes, which the villagers also do it themselves. A clear division of responsibilities in the production is not: we raise universal specialists, assisted by three managers. They understand exactly what the tables and accounting, therefore, responsible for ingredients, packaging and compliance with the plan.
I noticed that in the village is not working vertical growth, which seems promising in Moscow. The opportunity to become the director of the production is not enough motivation. I discovered an interesting thing: women lights to learn something new. For them new skills and knowledge - the same career. They want to understand that they know how much everything: sewing, baking cakes, making cosmetics, candy, tea.
The production process
To get the cream honey, we pump the contents of the honeycombs, pour into the mixer and whisk for about four days to a creamy consistency. Then fasuem berries in jars and pour the honey. With the mousse is the same story, only the berries with spices mixed with honey. For herbal tea people gather herbs and berries, and then we load them in large dryers. The last stage - zamiksovat content and packaged in bags.
With cosmetics different story, because it is harder for me than anything else. In production involving oil, herbs and pomace wax. Products obtained excellent, but I'd rather not quite understand how it is created. With the launch of our help my friend Anastasia Gulyavina because she really understands all the nuances. The range has expanded from cream to honey jam, caramel, and cosmetic purpose. I immediately realized that the production of raw materials have only two options to develop business. The first relevant for entrepreneurs who buy all the ingredients from suppliers: over time, they simply increase the amount of grasses and berries to get more bars, for example. In our case, everything is more complicated, because we try to adjust to the fact that people bring, and to the same limited resources. This year has been a bad harvest of strawberries, therefore, we have failed to make a lot of jam. We have to assume that nature throws, so the range is better to grow in breadth. It should be interchangeable and independent of raw material.
The second reason why we have increased the number of products - our national sponsors. We understand that people who once bought a cream-honey, the next time they want to buy something new to support us. Every year we are launching a new line of production, because the village a lot of resources. In addition, the work so interesting. Ideally, we want to grow to a full range of retail store with a wide selection, which you can reach for the gifts and the amenities.
Sales and delivery
To hit products to the final consumer, the truck goes from Small Turishev in Ekaterinburg. This is the most difficult stage of logistics, because it serves no one: delivery to the nearest large town lies on our shoulders. Then the goods are sent to the Moscow office of the Moscow Ring Road, and then - in any of the 150 ex outlets or directly to the customer's home. We realize that few in bad weather they want to go for a walk by sending so signed contracts with couriers and delivery organized for 300 rubles.

However, there is also the corporate segment: the production of branded gifts for large organizations and agencies.
In the end, we dream of open space in the center of Moscow Maly Turishev, in which it will be possible to come to drink coffee, buy products, and listen to our story. I do not know how long it takes, because you first need to develop retail sales. when through site daily passes more than 100 orders, at least 50 people are wondering: "And they really exist?" These people will go for the shipment at our space.
Infrastructure in the village
None of the competitors do not have the same history as we do. Most entrepreneurs founded the business to make money, and I just wanted to help the pope and to make my every day benefits people. I think this is the most important value.
When I began to organize production, I immediately dreamed of, not just to give people work and take care of them.
I have learned what is missing villagers, and eventually appeared in the Small Turishev playground, public area, garden furniture, drinking water wells. In this case, it would be wrong to say that the changes were due to the brand. They happened because people came together around the idea - without the support of the residents would not have happened.
Now we are building a community center - is the crown of infrastructure, because the school and a kindergarten are in the neighboring village. I hope that we will be able to put in a bakery because fresh bread arrives in a small mobile shops once a week. In addition, I plan to arrange to come to us, doctors, masseurs, hairdressers. Here we place our company store, which will combine the functions of agriculture. Sometimes people need to buy sugar, and go after him into the city quite expensive.
My main goal - to organize training courses for business start-ups. I want to show the inhabitants of the Lesser Turishev that business - it's not as difficult as many people say. My dream is that in the next five years, we had at least three businessmen who start making their own. And in addition to this, we make courses on botany and astronomy for urban residents. Stars in the village can be seen much better.
Already us regular foreign visitors come: the Australians, Indians, Germans. All they want to look at the real Russian village. Our people really walk in galoshes and walk the roads of cows. Many people like a charm. I think that with the advent of the community center the flow of tourists will only grow.
Costs and Benefits
Last year, the turnover of our business amounted to 16.5 million rubles, which increased thanks to crowdfunding more 1.6 million. Net income in this case - 30%. We reinvest it in the village development and manufacturing. I can not imagine that tomorrow I went and bought myself the Mercedes, because I do not have this problem.
The main costs spent on salaries, maintenance of production and site logistics, taxes, office rent in Moscow. All that we now earn is sent to the construction of a community center, because its cost - 18 million rubles. It's more than our annual turnover in 2018, but about profit, I really do not say anything.
That is why we have dozens of partners that help us to do great and important matter. In this case, the community center will have nothing to do with the NGOs, who are constantly in search of money. It will pay for itself to change lives independently and in parallel around.
Future plans
A couple of years after the opening of the community center, I understand, if I can go to the next village. I believe that our model can be replicated, and soon it becomes clear how to do it. I think for the present life in the country needs just four simple steps:
- Create jobs.
- Take care of people and create infrastructure.
- Develop relationships, because the village is important to understand that you are part of a global world. Small Turishev residents know that they are wildly popular in Germany. They realize that keeping an eye on us the whole country. The feeling of being lost is gone.
- Learn to plan. This is the basis of future business, I'm going to establish, as soon as we open a community center.
Errors and insights
The main mistake of entrepreneurs, who raise something from scratch - the desire to think small categories. We are not confident in the future, so we are afraid to plan and want to minimize risks. The first shop we built 50 squares, and then realized that he was too small. I hope that with the community center has paid off - it takes 800 square meters.
With the failures we encounter all the time, but we go further. The way the entrepreneur consists of errors and miscalculations. The only question is how you deal with them. For us, it's just the next step - a paid experience.
