How do SIFCO on Mac
Macos / / December 26, 2019
GIFCA - a great power. Life without them would be boring and unattractive. Usually we only view them, but sometimes there is a need to create an animation. How to do it in just one click, you will learn from this article.
Immediately I confess I was a little fib. In fact, you do not have to click one and two. But still this way to create animations from single photos - the fastest of all that I've ever seen. After spending about five minutes by presetting, you can create steep SIFCO seconds.
Training
This method is based on utility, Convert, which is part of the console utilities Imagemagick. Set them on a Mac is easiest via the package manager Homebrew. Do not worry, this is done with just a few commands.
1. Start the Terminal via Spotlight or folder "Programs» → «Utility" and paste it to the following code:
ruby -e "$ (curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/Homebrew/install/master/install)"
2. OS X will download a small update, and then enter the administrator password to begin installing Homebrew.
3. It remains for us to establish Imagemagick, using the command:
brew install imagemagick
Now all the tools we have, it's time to move on to the setting.
adjustment
We need to create a service Automator, which will start the process of creating gifok.
1. Open Automator and Spotlight via the folder "Programs" and select the item "Service".
2. Indicates that the service receives the file or folder in the Finder.
3. We find in the sidebar action "Get Selected objects Finder» and drag to the main area.
4. We find the action "Run the shell-script" and also put it in the main area.
5. Is indicated for the item "Transfer entry" option "As is the case."
6. And inserted into the script the following code:
/ Usr / local / bin / convert -delay 20 -loop 0 "$ @" ~ / Desktop / animated.gif
7. Go to the menu «File» → «Save" and save the service under the name convenient for you.
Using
Running our service easier than ever: to allocate enough in the Finder, and multiple images, making them right click, select from the drop down menu "Services" that which we have just created. In my case it is a service "Create SIFCO". After 3-5 seconds GIF-animation appears on your desktop.
We have Convert unreal number of settings that can be accessed by driving convert -help in Terminal. In our script, we used only two options:
- -delay - delay between frames in milliseconds;
- -loop - number of repeats (0 to looped animation).
If necessary, you can specify any other settings, and configure the service on your own. And I have here the result of the output is obtained as follows:
