How to make Finder show folder size

In Finder, there is one oddity, which is very annoying: it does not show the size of folders. Save your nerves and make life easier, a simple trick.
The most detailed display mode of the "List" shows only the size of individual files, folders, on the other hand are always dashes. To find the weight of a folder, you can press the space bar and look at the preview menu. It's convenient is not always, and why do the extra traffic? Simply include the size of the display in the appropriate column Finder.
This is done easily. For this opportunity meets one tick in the settings, but not the Finder, and type of folders (so much about it and do not know). So, to enable the size of the display, do the following:
1. To switch to "List".
2. GEAR click on and select the "Show View Options".
3. Tick the item "Calculate all sizes".
After that OS X will begin to consider the size of the folder, taking into account all the files they contain. The data will be displayed not only in the "List", but also in its augmented version of Cover Flow.
The simplest advice really facilitates life. I personally know a few people who are working on a Mac than a year and were not even aware of the existence of this option.
