The fact that in the file manager macOS have tabs, know, probably, all Apple users. Just press Command + T in the Finder window. Or, right-click while holding the Alt key on any folder and select "Open in new tab".
But macOS Mojave appeared a couple of interesting new features that make the Finder tab bit more cooler.
Try to open multiple tabs, or click on "Window» → «unite all the windows." And, when in front of you will be as many tabs that they will be confused, press the keyboard shortcut Command + Shift + \. Or select "View» → «Show all tabs". They are displayed as thumbnails, like so:
You can easily distinguish between them and find the ones that you need. In fact it is an analogue of Mission Control, you start spending on the trackpad with three fingers, not only for applications and for the tabs in Finder. Exactly the same feature has long been in Safari: Click the "View» → «Display overview tab."
Another feature introduced in macOS Mojave, - one to the tab bar so that she was always in sight. You can always take your new tabs without wandering through menus and use keyboard shortcuts - just clicking on the button with the icon +.
To show the tab bar, open a Finder window and click the key combination Command + Shift + T. Pressing the same combination hides panel.
When the panel is active, you can not just move tabs within a single window the Finder, but drag them between different windows, just like in Safari.
