Why we are very fast or very slow in responding to e-mails to different people
Work And Study / / December 25, 2019
A curious study conducted writing team WIRED magazine, namely its Science Division. We studied the response time to a particular e-mail message and to whom we respond quickly, and who for a long time.
Let me quote part of the study:
People respond to their closest friends, on average 7 hours of receipt of the letter. Professional correspondence is conducted not Desks briskly - from receipt to send out at least 11 hours. But if we receive a letter from someone whom we hardly know what to answer takes an average of 50 hours of receipt, and before pressing the "send" button. It turns out that the definition of your relationship to this or that person becomes a primitive task - just note the time.
Intelligent filter in Gmail can arrange for you to the people of the true significance for you - no Social Graph is not necessary here :)
Consider this knowledge and complacency in those moments when you're waiting for instant response at work, or from someone who decided to write for the first time.
