How to make your photos to popular social networking sites

Scientists at MIT have created a new service, which with the help of mathematical algorithms evaluates your pictures and gives information about how popular they would become in the social networks.

We gradually moved into a time where scientists and programmers - this is the new rock stars. Now we are all dependent on social networks, the Internet and the number of likes. And the only "rock star" knows what lies behind our popular in Instagram and Facebook. And hiding behind them only statistics and mathematical algorithms.

Scientists at MIT have tested 2.3 million photos from Flickr and created a website on which you can upload a photo and see how popular it will become.

This result is achieved thanks to algorithms in which neither I nor you (probably) do not understand. It works, and this is important! The algorithm takes into account several types of indicators:

• social (number of followers, tags, name length)
• both content (color, texture, gradient, and photo objects)

From you only need to upload a photo to the site, click «Run» and wait for the service will do the trick.

Photos are assessed on a scale. But, says the creator of the service: "Evaluation is not 100% accurate, so you should take advantage of the comparative characteristic." For example, if the first picture scored 3 points, and the second 6, it is obvious that the second best, and it has more chances to become popular.

Unfortunately, due to the influx of visitors, processing photos may take some time, so do not be discouraged if the service is a long time to reflect.

The creators plan to do additional tools for automatic photo editing to make them even more popular.
