New data synchronization service from Microsoft

Google with ears pulls us in the web, by placing there not only our searches, but also e-mail, documents, spreadsheets, presentations, videos, photos and more. Microsoft also chose a different tactic - most importantly to give access to data from any computer, but you need to keep them not only in the "cloud", but also locally. Just in case :)

The new service Windows Live Sync provides a very cool and easy data synchronization engine between your PCs within your Live account.

Synchronization software is available free for Windows and Mac (MobileMe hello). And if the first is available in all language versions, even in Ukrainian, for the second - only in English.

The size of files synchronized is limited to 4GB, so you can backup and music and movies. The upper limit of the total volume of data is unknown to me.

After you select the folders to synchronize, they are available to view in your Live profile, namely at http://sync.live.com. Here you can edit the details of your PC and sync options.

By the way, using the same Web interface you have access not only to sync files from folders that already Micorosoft on servers, but also all the data connected to the Internet computers. All transmitted data is encrypted. Conveniently!
