Ricochet - protected messenger for anonymous communication

Ricochet - one of the ways of communication in the network, if you do not trust anyone. In the process, this app does not collect any information about you and does not store metadata on the server. No one can determine your personality and find out who and what you are communicating.

Ricochet connects to your contacts through the Tor network without the use of servers for sending and storing messages. The application creates a closed two-way anonymous service connection through which communication takes place. The location and IP-addresses are not recorded.

Instead of the name or nickname to each user is assigned a unique address, eg ricochet: rs7ce36jsj24ogfw. At this address you can contact other people and get to your contact list.

Ricochet sends requests to all the contacts of your list and determine which of them is the web, and then connects to them. You do not need to obtain permission or to perform additional actions, but you can only send messages to those who have added you to their contact list. contact list is stored on your computer and nowhere published, history is not saved messages.

In Ricochet encryption on the device operates by default. For connection and messaging developers decided not to use the XMPP protocol, and came up with a simpler option - it is more convenient and easier to defend against hacker attacks. Details about the protocol can be found at GitHub.
