Imagine the situation: you got quite a voluminous piece of text that you want to someone to share. What to do? You can send him a letter, but it needs to know the recipient's email and he will come in the mail and, perhaps, to rake piles of spam in search of your letter. More difficult when many recipients. Therefore, we can do easier - to copy the text and paste it in the Pastebin, a web service that allows you to upload snippets of text to allow viewing by other users. And recipients to a link where they can get acquainted with your text.
The user can choose the lifetime of his text (10 minutes, 1 hour, 1 day, month, or forever), and adjust the privacy of his view. Following the publication of a link is created, the user must share with those whom he wants to provide access to the text. Other registered users are able to edit the text and save it separately the new version.
The current version of the service supports CSS syntax highlighting, HTML 5, Python, Rails, PHP, Perl and many other languages. Immersed applications for various platforms, including Windows, OS X, iOS, Android, Windows Phone, WebOS, as well as extensions to the Chrome, Firefox, and Opera.
Initially the service was created for the exchange of code fragments, but now it is used for other purposes. In some sense it can be considered Pastebin social service, which are published, and then go into trends different interesting things (mostly leaks obtained by hackers).
