Ilya Birman "inbox anywhere"
Productivity / / December 23, 2019
We stumbled on a curious post Ilya Birman, who shares his method of "inbox everywhere", according to which all incoming data and infopotoki pass it through the "inbox." Inbox in the mail for messages, inbox for text information in Evernote, inbox for music.
A lot of applications that need to somehow organize objects, so as not to get lost: the letter in the mail, notes in Evernoute, songs Aytyunse, tudushki in tuduliste, browser bookmarks.
In all these places, I use inbox. Its meaning is that it is a place where objects fall initially to "processing". The mail is so arranged by itself, and it is very convenient - just imagine, if each time you receive a letter mailer would ask you to choose the folder in which it should be put. In other applications, you need to create your own inbox.
In Aytyunse, for example, I have a playlist, and any new songs I add there. If they are not registered tags or they are spelled wrong, I do not lose. In addition, I will never forget that you need to listen to the new album, which I just downloaded. When the tags are registered, and the song is added to cover distributed into different playlists, tags, from the inbox it can kill.
In Evernoute I have a notebook inbox, and it includes all the new notes. When the article is written, it can be transferred to another notebook, add tags to taste it or delete it if it was very temporary. It is clear that, as in mail inbox is not always empty, and some things for a long time remain in it to hang, but due to the fact that they were before my eyes, I did not lose.
