Why there is no point in exhausting work

"More and more people are convinced that it is necessary to work at night, without weekend, because "we are launching new features for the project." Let's work, say, 2-3 times more than usual - and the project will surpass the competition immediately, but progress tumble out of the bag like.
Nothing like this.
You know, that brings you the trademark name "work hard-to-seventh-sweat"? The author of these lines it has brought the problem of excess weight, lack of small talk with his wife and a constant feeling of being some sort of wreck. The work he began to "push down" to colleagues, and what did he, it turns out far from the concept of "quality." Now I work 4 days a week, and at the same time to work out 1-2 hours of intensive "Injecting." In life, there are many walks, we went to extra weight and it's understanding with the wife. This writer has learned to live "in the present," not stick "for the future." And what is important: now it is - the best job in the Life.
Previously, it seemed to me ridiculous statement itself that without chronic "lack of sleep", in operation seven days a week and without the offline life, you can achieve any significant success. Now everything is different. But the madness in the area in which I am working, too, continues: still people believe that we should not sleep at night, work on weekends and drive the whole team to the corner to "squeeze maximum."
Dear reader, I hope after reading this post, you start small: take a vacation or a couple of weeks at his own expense. Just you have gathered from the work office and calls far away and "Restart." And when you come back from vacation, - then you will choose any number from 1 to 35 that you like, and begin to work just as many hours in week. Just because what you're doing, what you earn money, turn into the best work in your life.
If it seems impossible - it's time to change jobs. If your colleagues, boss or the project partners do not believe that in 30 hours you can catch more than 50, - come away with such work or such a project. The world is full of places where performance is valued more than the number of hours spent in the office. And by the way, the board about 35 hours per week applies to freelancers: set a clear timetable for themselves and their customers - enough to be "free slave without a schedule."
