Mucha.
Small, but are annoying.
You sit in a chair. Trying to work. But winged creatures again and again distract you.
You dismiss. Trying to work. Dismiss. Trying to work. Dismiss ...
DAOMAO!
You turn on the bright lights, you take sneakers and... Now you are looking for them ...
This is logical. It is easier once to stand up and solve all the little problems en masse. Today we talk about the principle of grouping tasks.
Why do group tasks?
Run individually small business unprofitable. Because each business requires time to lose. It is much more effective to combine all the small things in the same type of regular blocks.
And so all those involved. But unconsciously and unsystematically.
It ended with the milk? Buckwheat? Eggs? We draw up a list and buy everything at once. This is a primitive group.
What other tasks can be grouped?
1. Checking mail
Why have to answer for a minute? Why not check email only twice a day? In the morning and in the evening. Large blocks.
2. Calls and SMS
Why not mute the phone? All missed calls and SMS messages can be answered later and immediately a crowd.
Many will say that they can not afford it. But I did it, so I live for over a year and have not yet repented.
3. reading articles
We stumble upon some article. We do not have time to look back, as we have already read it. And then the article here. And another ...
What are we doing there? Yes, I do not remember ...
Why not use the service of deferred reading? For example, here is a great article by Alexander Murakhovski "Can replace the Instapaper Pocket?».
You simply send an interesting link to this service. And then read in your spare time just 10–20 articles. A convenient way to fill the time, when you have a long flight or you're standing in line at the clinic. In this mode, the article quickly and easily swallowed.
4. Topics for reflection
You'll laugh, but I'm saving the questions that need to ponder. Then I take a dictaphone. I go out on a treadmill. I walk and ponder the whole list of questions. +10 creativity!
5. cooking food
Why not prepare a meal right away for a few days? Of course, always nice to have fresh, but, say, yesterday's soup even more delicious))
All the more so with the advent of microwave ovens to warm up is not a problem!
6. Make a stock!
- You use toilet paper all your life. Why not stock up to her for a year? Just to not think about it any more!
- We went to the dentist with the patient tooth? Cure all at once!
- We stopped at a service station to change a light bulb? Change and a second, and even oil.
7. Any problems with a single context
We have already quietly shifted to a serious time management, system David Allen's GTD. In this system, we set the context of the tasks: "house", "car", "computer", etc...
Now, being in the car, we can see all the tasks with the context of a "machine". That is, the tasks for which we need a car.
Is not this group?
in total
Group your routine. Now sit down and think about what tasks you could combine into larger units.
