How snatch 10:00 in the working week

Michael Hiatt (Michael S. Hyatt) in Russia is known in a narrow range, mostly among publishers. This man knows the publishing business thoroughly - he was the author (I wrote 4 books, one of which was on the list of New York Times bestseller for 7 months), and literary agent. And now he is the head of the largest publishers in the world, producing Christian literature (the company ranks 6th in the US among all publishers). So according to Hiatt, it is realistic to snatch from the working week of 10 hours. Here's how:
1. Limit time spent on the Internet. Michael is convinced that although the Web is a great tool for research, and so on, people generally sit out there time. Mindless surfing from one page to another without a clear purpose - this is what we often do. Of key importance is the concentration on the activity and the restriction of hours online.
The same applies to the e-mail. One of the few exceptions is for employees working with clients services that should always be available.
2. Access the e-mails only once. Many re-read e-mails several times. A waste of time, because the information has not changed. Hiatt's advice to read the letter only once and immediately take the appropriate decision - to perform some action, delegate, defer, delete, etc.
3. Follow the two minute rule. It's amazing how many people bring to their task lists (ToDo) small parts such as "call your parents." Do this immediately. If the task is simple and does not require much time, why postpone its execution, if it is possible to do and move on?
4. Stop attending meetings unimportant. Every meeting should have a purpose and agenda. If the theme of the meeting does not coincide with your work, most likely do not need it.
5. Set up a schedule for the job. In addition, it helps the organization, there is another positive point. When someone wants to invite you to a meeting unimportant, you can always refer to the fact that at this time there is work. And you do it, but for myself :)
6. Encourage the habit of "do not bring to a conclusion". Not all the projects that we start, worth to them to finish, bring to a conclusion. Often more appropriate it would be timely to withdraw from the project, saving time.
The same applies, for example, to read - if the book or article is not of interest to read, not necessarily finish before the end. Moreover, Hiatt, who has worked in the publishing business for many years, says that reading the most books, you can stop in the middle and you have nothing to lose.
The key, in his opinion, is to read the book as long as it is interesting. If it is not, do not torture yourself, in the world a great many really great works that are worth reading.
7. Weekly Review. One of the reasons why life goes out of control, - the lack of planning. Hiatt offers (and he follows this rule) to spend a week a little time to see what failed, what should be done next week. General theme of the weekly review is an interesting enough Hiatt pays her a separate article. So if you want to consider this aspect of planning.
