How to turn dirty water into drinking water
Survival / / December 23, 2019
In his speech at the TED Michael Pritchard talks about how he was looking at a 2004 tsunami in Asia and then in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, I decided to finalize the portable water filters. What came of it? Small and affordable bottle Lifesaver, which can save your life.
Do you know which countries you can drink water from the tap? If you are in Russia or Ukraine, to drink water from the tap is not desirable, but not fatal. If you, for example, in Italy or Switzerland, you can safely open the taps and drink: water is clean and there is even tasty. In India, it is not recommended even rinse your mouth with water from the tap, and people with a weak stomach (and just those who want to be safe) prefer to rinse your mouth with bottled water. Ie clean drinking water in most countries is only available in stores or home filters. And what to do if you are there, where there is no source of clean drinking water? Drink dirty, not to die of thirst, as it was after the Asian tsunami in 2004? Or fighting for water, as a post-Katrina (clean water delivered to victims in five days!)?
This problem did not give Michael Pritchard sleep, and he decided to create a filter that would allow to clear water from the smallest bacteria and could be almost always at hand. So there was the Lifesaver bottle, which can purify 6000 liters, then it is necessary to change the filter.
