Approaching the holidays and I thought - why not use PicLab to make beautiful Christmas cards to your friends? Let's see what came of it.

1. Loading PicLab

The first thing to do - is, of course, download the app itself. There is a free version PicLab the main set of functions, which you'll, however, should suffice with a head, and there is a paid PicLab HD, in which more various tools for editing. But again, I repeat, to create a good card will suffice and the standard free version.

Comment: all these steps I did in PicLab HD, but almost all the features available in the free version. It should not be difficult, and in order for a button hiding certain settings.

2. Choosing the right photo

Now we need to choose the basis for our greeting cards - Christmas photo. You are now probably photograph a lot of snow, trees, toys and the like, you need only select the most suitable and successful image. Well, if you have not yet plunged into the New Year Photo Tour, then take a few holiday snaps. Start at least with his holiday home a Christmas tree.

For example, I'll take this photograph with a Christmas tree, which is set around the shopping center. This image will be the basis for our postcards.

3. "Conjure" over the images

Well, we have chosen a picture and now it's time to embellish it a little. In PicLab there are all the most necessary. You should start with the brightness settings, contrast, saturation, "razmylennosti" and so on. Pick the most successful combinations of options, roll sliders, get the best "mix".

After primary processing, can be superimposed on the photo filter or lighting effect. Sometimes it makes sense, sometimes it does not - it all depends on the particular picture. Perhaps you, as I have already downloaded the app in the edited photo? Or just think that the natural pictures - Best? Try first to do everything without filters and effects, and evaluate the results.

But if you do decide that filters are needed, then proceed. Test different combinations of effects. Try to do so that the filters do not "killed" the picture itself.

4. Add the greeting inscription

We turn to our greetings. It would be great if you check in the text name of the person you are going to send a postcard. But if you are going to give one card to "all", that will be enough and "nameless" signatures. «Happy New Year!», «Merry Christmas!» - I think you know which signatures can be used.

Important note: PicLab fonts do not support Cyrillic, so you have to use English.

For example, I used a standard «Happy New Year!», But I advise you to be more original. You can also change the size and color of the text, its location on the photo, and of course, the font. Try different options, place the text in different parts of the image, experiment with color and font. Each case is different, and the idea may be at everyone.

Do not forget that you can add multiple labels to a single photo.

5. Other "decorations"

In addition, you can decorate a postcard special frame or symbols (only available in PicLab HD). But in practice, and it is possible to do without these decorations. At least, I personally consider them superfluous :-). Of course, that everyone has their own idea of ​​what should look like this card, so try these "beautiful" - perhaps they really decorate your show.

6. We assess results

Well, let's keep our picture and see what happens:

Not bad, agree? The creation of a postcard I spent the whole 5 minutes. No complications have arisen - quite simple and easy interface application.
