Quickoffice Connect Mobile Suite - it iPhone app. About Quickoffice, interesting office suite for iOS, I learned more during the January MacWorld exhibition, since wanting to try it in action. And now, finally, I had the opportunity.
Unfortunately or fortunately, after a graduation, I became much less confronted with electronic documents, however, when there is such a need, the existence of such an application could not be by the way. Especially, Quickoffice supports text document formats (txt, doc and docx), spreadsheets (xls and xlsx), and also allows view files, email attachments in popular formats - ppt, pdf, iwork, html, png, jpg, gif, svg, tif, mp3 and so on.
The main element of the interface in the application is a toolbar on which the special buttons allowing to perform operations on files and directories: create, move, delete, or send an e mail. As well as the different steps in the files themselves, for example, it may be a pop-up menu with actions over the text: bold or italic, color and font appearance, the format of numbers, its alignment in the row or cell, add new sheets (Spreadsheet), search for the document, and more more.
By default, the application displays the files obtained by using Wi-Fi drive - at the bottom of the window displays the band, which was written ip-address of your device. It should be exactly the type in the address bar of your browser, then in the right part of the field is displayed to download the file, and the left - the list of documents.
But other than that, Quickoffice may not work with accounts of such popular services like Google Docs, Dropbox, Box, and MobileMe (iDisk and Public iDisk). However, before adding the account of one of these services, the user will have to create an account when Quickoffice Connect and within 72 hours to activate it. But after a mere formality, you can add any of the services provided (or all at once), and then edit uploaded documents.
In general, the Quickoffice works bright enough for a mobile office suite, especially, I would like to compare the performance of the application on the iPhone 4.
By the way, if you do not need features access to Internet services and sharing'a files, you can do a cheaper version without the Connect words in the title, which costs half the price. And for a simple free utility exists Quickoffice Connect file browser.
